The
Kindness Kids
program brings pet assisted therapy volunteer/pet teams
into classrooms to teach the values of kindness and
compassion to all living creatures. A donation of only $25 a month will
provide the monthly "Kind News" for an entire class for the nine month school year. |

The
Canine Literacy Project
is an extension of the Orange County SPCA's award-winning pet-assisted therapy
program. It is designed to help reduce children's anxiety in reading aloud, to improve their reading skills, and to make reading
fun. In the reading environment, therapy animals create the same atmosphere our volunteer/pet teams
experience in healthcare settings, offering a calm, accepting, non-judgmental presence. Each
child is presented with a new book of their very own. Donations
and book store gift cards are always welcome.
